New31DC: Day 19 - Your Favorite Polish
Hi guys! It is Day 19 of the New31DC today, and we are all going to be showing you our favorite polishes. What a fun theme! I can't wait to see what the favorites are.
My favorite polish is Lynnderella The Glittering Crowd. I know that a lot of people have a bad taste in their mouth over all the drama with Lynnderella that went down last year, but I just can't deny that she makes some awesome polishes. TGC is my favorite polish because to me, this is THE multi-colored glitter. The glitters are so vibrant, and there is such an amazing mix of colors, shapes, and sizes.
I wanted to show this polish in a bit of a different way, so my lovely friend Debbie from The Crumpet helped me brainstorm a bit. She suggested crowding the glitters together to have a play off the name of the polish. That morphed into these dense stripes of glitter down the center of my nail.
My base color is two coats of Ciaté Cookies and Cream, a nice neutral color that I got in my Advent Calender. (And one of the untrieds that I used! The red was also untried.)
I added a heart onto my accent nail with a dotting tool, a nail art brush and Ciaté Dangerous Affair.
My original intention for the heart was to fill it in with glitter as well, which I have shown you below, but I actually ended up preferring this mani without the extra glitter. (HAH, bet you never thought you'd hear me say that!!)
So what do you think, do you still like Lynnderellas despite the drama surrounding the brand? What is your favorite polish?
