Floral Week: Dandelions

Hi guys!  Today's nail design is dandelions, and was inspired by the amazing Robin Moses.  She has tons of awesome tutorials, including one for these nails which you can find here.

I started off this design with two coats of the beautiful Illamasqua Jo'mina.  I am sooo in love with this purple.  Its like a neon pastel if that makes sense.  I added one coat of Orly Prisma Gloss Silver, which is a fine holo glitter topper.  The rest of the detail work was done with acrylic paint and a small nail art brush.

Who else loves blowing these dandelions into the wind in the summer?  They are so much fun and remind me of my childhood.

The other lovely ladies participating in this week of florals are Debbie of The Crumpet, Missy of Gnarly Gnails, Emma of Manicurity, and Kerrie of PishPosh and Polish.  Be sure to hop over to their blogs for more fun florals to kick off spring!

  2. These were my favorite when I was little. In fact my dad likes to remind me that when we had to dig up our yard I told him we should "plant" them in that spot. The is just beautiful. Pinned it for future inspiration!
