Hi guys! Today I have the April edition of Nailtini's The Lacquer Cabinet to show you. (Read more about The Lacquer Cabinet and see Feburary's collection here., See March's collection here.) The guest mixologist this month is Lisa Bailey of Nail Art 101. Her collection consists of some colors her fans were looking for. Her shades are Legitimint, Fable Fizz, and Babydoll.
Legitimint – the perfect mint green - smooth, creamy and not a hint of chalk. Two coats, no top coat. The description says it all, a super creamy mint green, the formula on this was dreamy. A perfect spring polish!
Fable Fizz – vibrant royal purple fired with orange and blue travel. Two coats, with top coat. As usual, my camera wants to make this one look more blue than it really is. This is a blurple, with a pink shimmer and blue glitter flecks. I love the depth of this polish. I've already worn it as a complete mani, as undies for another glitter. Below I've shown a photo of it mattified. This is a bit more color accurate than the photo above.
Babydoll – sheer pale pink shot with opalescent glitters. One coat shown over Legitimint, no top coat. In my opinion this polish is best layered. The "opalescent" glitters are holographic. In the photo below I've shown it over both other polishes from the collection, as well as three coats alone on the pinky.
I also tried layering it over a few more Nailtini polishes. Index to pinky below are: Grappa, Venom, Cement Mixer, and Grenadine. I liked it best over Cement Mixer. The pink duochrome in the champagne shimmer base looked really pretty over the gray/taupe of CM.
I thought this collection was interesting and unexpected. I will say that although I already own some mint green polishes, Legitimint will be my new go-to because of the formula. Nailtini makes some gorgeous cremes!
