New31DC: Day 21 - Merge or Melt

Hello there!  Today is day 21 of the New31DC.  Three weeks down, woohoo!  Today's theme is Merge or Melt.  This can be interpreted however you want, and I chose to do a gradient.  I toyed with the idea of a water marble, but since I will be doing one of those for the favorite nail art technique day, I decided not to.

For this gradient I did a white base, using two coats of H&M Snow White, a silvery-white glassfleck.  I sponged over that with Color Club Sky High and Wing Fling.  I did this gradient by painting the polish directly onto the sponge with a bit of overlap and then dabbing it onto my nail.  Let me just say that the clean up for this was AWFUL... little shimmer bits were everywhere.  It looked pretty though, so I suppose it was worth it!

I stamped over the gradient with GALS GA-9 and MASH Nail Art Polish in Black.  These plates work really well but since my nails are quite curved I have a hard time getting the whole design to transfer all the way to the edges of my nails.  I have heard that there may be a better stamper which is larger and more squishy, so hopefully I will be able to try that soon.
